Rigid Construction Won’t Sag
Galvanized steel construction won't sag under hot sun or Winter snow and ice.
Cheap plastic screens sag under wet leaves or a hot sun, and the wide mesh design restricts much of the gutter opening. They don’t work with all rain gutters. STEELCO™ gutter screens are strong and rigid. They don’t melt under a hot sun. Packed snow and ice are no match for the rigid galvanized steel construction, and STEELCO™ screens work on virtually any rain gutter.
Low Profile Not Visible From The Ground
Arched aluminum, rolled mesh and other inferior alternatives generally cause more problems than they cure. Arched aluminum causes an ugly pile of leaves and debris to dam up along the roof’s edge. Secured only to the gutter lip, the wind is constantly blowing them over, making them unsightly as they dangle from the gutter’s edge. Rolled mesh sags here, humps there, and is unsecured, causing a variety of nuisance issues. Just wait till you have to remove the rolled mesh for gutter servicing!

No need to buy expensive new gutters. STEELCO™ gutter screens come in a variety of widths and can be installed any size or type of rain gutter, including vinyl, aluminum and copper gutters, K-style or half-round. Available in galvanized steel or copper. Custom sizes are no problem. The patented Galvalume™ retainer tabs allow for a variety of flexible installation options.
Out Perform Gutter Covers
Gutter covers are among the most expensive, but inefficient solutions to reducing gutter maintenance. Gutter covers actually restrict the flow of rain water into the rain gutter, greatly reducing gutter efficiency during a downpour. The concept sounds good. But, in the real world, they fall short of claims and expectations.
Gutter covers don’t eliminate gutter maintenance. Nothing does. Smaller leaves and debris still follow the water into the gutters and sometimes cause the rain gap to become clogged, further reducing their efficiency at collecting rain water from the roof.
Inside corners completely defeat gutter cover products. Unfortunately, this is where the highest volume of rain water occurs. Consequently, high volumes of rain water can be seen shooting off the corners and onto the ground, defeating the whole purpose of having rain gutters in the first place. Inside corners are no problem for STEELCO™ gutter screens, because they don’t restrict the opening of the rain gutter to any significant degree.
Self-Cleaning
In most installations, the angle of the screens will be equal to or greater than the pitch of the roof, making the screens essentially self-cleaning. Leaves and debris simply blow off, wash off or roll off without any intervention on your part.
Easy Gutter Maintenance
If you should ever need to wash the grit and silt from the bottom of the rain gutter, they can be serviced without removing the screens. Try that with any other gutter protection product! With STEELCO™ gutter screens, simply use a water hose to spray right through the galvanized screen to wash the silt to the downspout. If for some reason removal is required, STEELCO™ gutter screens can easily be remove and replaced, and they are easy to handle.
